Black Pashmina Shawl with Kani Handwoven Multicolour Floral Jaal

Black, alive with colour. The whole field of this Kani shawl is woven with flowers and leaves in turquoise, magenta, saffron, cobalt and lime, each motif built into the cloth on the loom. A slim border of saffron diamonds between cream lines frames it on every side.

At each end the pattern meets broad stripes of black and crimson set with single flowers, and a soft fringe. The black ground makes the colours glow, so it wears beautifully at evening events and over plain dark clothes.
