Each buta is a spray of Sozni flowers and leaves in coral, pink, mint and lilac, bright against the deep ground. A fine pale stitched line borders the piece.
The stripes give it a rich, wintry character, and the needlework lifts it into something for occasions. The cloth is handwoven from pure Pashmina, the fine cashmere of Kashmir: feather-light, soft and gently warming. It sits well over dark coats and plain colours, and suits men as well as women.
