At each end of this shawl stands a row of tall paisleys, their outlines stitched by hand in fine Sozni lines and filled with tiny leaves, with flowering sprays rising between them. Above the ends, a few small butis in the same soft blue are scattered across the plain field.
The colours are close and quiet, so the pattern appears gently, almost like a watermark. The cloth is handwoven from pure Pashmina, the fine cashmere of Kashmir: feather-light, soft and gently warming. A calm, refined piece that is easy to wear by day and elegant in the evening.
