Enquire on WhatsAppSoft ivory, with flowering branches climbing in from the corners. This pure Pashmina shawl is embroidered by hand in fine Sozni needlework: slender stems in deep plum and lilac, feathered with tiny leaves and opening into daisies of pale blue and soft yellow. The branches gather thickly at each end and thin out towards the centre, and a narrow stitched border edged with small leaves frames the piece.
The open ivory field gives the embroidery room to breathe, so the shawl feels light and graceful rather than heavy with pattern. The cloth is handwoven from pure Pashmina, the fine cashmere of Kashmir: feather-soft, warm without weight, and fluid when draped. Stitched over months by Kashmiri artisans, it is easy to wear from a daytime gathering through to an evening out.
