Ivory and black, and nothing else. This pure Pashmina shawl is covered in an all-over Sozni jaal drawn in fine black outline: round medallions, daisies and star-shaped blossoms linked together like lacework, with the medallions softly filled in pale grey-blue. A border of rosettes edged with small flowering sprigs runs around the whole piece, and the ends are left in plain ivory.

The restraint of the palette is what makes it striking. Every line is laid by hand with a needle, the work of months by Kashmiri artisans, and the result sits as easily over a black evening outfit as over colour. Spun from 100% pure Pashmina, it is feather-light, soft against the skin and gently warming.
